A beautiful 18th-century charterhouse
The current Château Cissac, a magnificent 18th-century charterhouse, was built on the ruins of a Roman villa, with numerous archaeological details attesting to this.
“The Cru Bourgeois designation is earned, not a given”
Château Cissac has been part of the Cru Bourgeois classification since its inception in 1932. In 2018, it was awarded the status of Cru Bourgeois Supérieur. Château Cissac actively contributes to the development of this family of wines, sharing its core values of authenticity, the quality of the wine and the preservation of the terroir and the environment.
Commitment means structuring our approach for constant improvement
As part of the collective initiative “Bordeaux Cultivons Demain”, launched by the Bordeaux Wine Council (CIVB), we are proud to be among the estates and chateaux awarded the CSR - Corporate Social Responsibility label.
This labeling marks another step in our sustainable development strategy.
Our estate’s CSR process is built on four pillars:
– ensuring the sustainability of our economic activities
– preserving the environment
– making people the focus of our concerns
– promoting our region
Responsible today for tomorrow
We are AREA2 and HVE (High Environmental Value) accredited. These environmental certifications resulting from the Grenelle Environment Forum are awarded to agricultural operations that comply with a level of environmental practices.
